Terms & refunds

Last updated 9 October 2026

These terms apply to Chess at School, Chess with FM Ryan Harper, one-on-one coaching and the team championships run by Jumbo Chess Ltd (Jumbo Chess Academy).

Registration and fees

A registration is a request for a place, confirmed when we contact you. Chess at School is TT$300 a term with the workbook or TT$250 without, each valid for 3 months. Chess with FM Ryan Harper is TT$305 a term. One-on-one coaching is TT$150 per 1-hour session, arranged with your coach.

Payment

Pay by online banking (our preference) or in cash at school. Bank details for Jumbo Chess Ltd are on the school form.

Sessions and make-ups

We try our best to cover 10 sessions a term. Holidays and school events sometimes cancel a session, and we can't always fit in a make-up. If a coach misses a session, we will always organise a make-up, even with a different coach.

Championships

Team entries are TT$100 per player. Teams must check in between 8:30 and 9:20 am; teams not checked in by 9:40 am miss the first round.

Refunds and questions

For a question about a payment or a refund, call 868-730-4019 or 868-475-7184, or email jumbochesstt@gmail.com.

Conduct

Every game starts and ends with a handshake. We expect respect from players, parents and coaches alike.
